ORALITE® 5430 Construction Grade reflective film is a weather-resistant material with excellent corrosion resistance and solvent resistance. The ORALITE® 5430 Construction Grade reflective system consists of catadioptric glass correls embedded in a transparent plastic layer (Class R1, RA1 or Class 1, Type I). The smooth surface has high scratch resistance and good printability. The minimum reflection data corresponds to EN 12899-1. Daylight colours comply with international standards for reflective materials of this class.
Intended use
The film has been specially developed for the production of traffic control signs and road signs that are made of polyolefin material, e.g. road works signs that are intended for short-term outdoor use. The material has an identification watermark.
Printing & Processing
The ORALITE® 5430 can be screen printed using ORALITE® 5018 screen printing ink or inkjet printing with most solvent inks, UV inks or latex. To determine if this is an application laminate, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the selected ink required. If necessary, it is recommended to laminate ORALITE® 5051, ORAGUARD® 290F or ORAGUARD® 293F for increased UV protection. When using non-ORAFOL inks or printers, the application must be tested and approved by the customer. Please refer to the national regulations on the use of reflective films.
